July 31, 2024 - PNC Foundation Support for Career Pathways Program

CINCINNATI – July 31st , 2024 -- The Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency announced receipt of a $15,000 PNC Foundation grant. The funding will support the agency’s Career Pathways program that provides job seekers with relevant industry training and connects them with career opportunities. Specifically, the program provides access to industry credential training, job coaching and case management to income-eligible residents of Hamilton County. The PNC Foundation grant was provided through its Community Development Banking team, which aims to boost the quality of life in low and moderate-income neighborhoods through financial education, consumer products, community development lending, investing and economic development. “This PNC Foundation grant will allow us to help individuals create a pathway to self-sufficiency and provide better support for their families through higher wage jobs,” said Kevin Hackman, CAA Development Director. “We are grateful to PNC for their many years of support for the work of Community Action Agency.” Career Pathways currently has training opportunities in the areas of construction, information technology (IT), Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), healthcare technology and more. “At PNC, we're committed to helping strengthen the economic vitality of our region through affordable housing, community service, neighborhood revitalization and workforce development initiatives, among others,” said Warren Weber, PNC Regional President for Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. “PNC Foundation’s support will help CAA’s Career Pathways participants build a foundation for self-sufficiency.” For more information on ways to support CAA, please visit www.cincy-caa.org/how-to-help/.html or contact Development Director, Kevin Hackman at khackman@cincy-caa.org.
