January 22, 2024 - Currently Accepting Mobile Food Pantry Volunteers

CINCINNATI, OH (January 22, 2024) – The Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency (CAA) is looking for volunteers to assist with free produce distribution at our Mobile Food Pantry Events.

CAA in partnership with Freestore Foodbank, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, The Welcome Project/Wave Pool, Corinthian Baptist Church, Word of Deliverance Church/SOAR 693, and The Well Church, are a part of a community mobilized to help aid in the hunger crisis. CAA hosts weekly mobile food pantry services from our five partner locations each month.

CAA distributes fruit, vegetables, and baked goods on a first-come, first-served basis through our Mobile Food Pantry Events. During the 2023 fourth quarter (October- December), CAA provided 73,316 pounds of food to 5476 families in Hamilton County.

Community Engagement Director Sharon Watkins says “There is a great need in the community for our food pantry services and if there is a need, we plan to be here to fill it. Over the past year, we have seen a large increase in the number of community members coming to the Mobile Food Pantry events and because of this, we need volunteers.”
