Natural Gas Bill Credits for Qualifying Seniors and Clients
As part of the PUCO-approved settlement agreement, Duke Energy Ohio agreed to provide more than $3,500,000 to fund bill credits to qualifying low-income and seniors who are Duke Ohio natural gas customers.
- The one-time credits will amount to $500 per eligible customer, per program.
- A customer may qualify to receive a credit as an eligible senior and as an eligible low-income customer.
Seniors Program ($500 credit)
- Age 65 or older.
- Residential natural gas customer of Duke Energy Ohio with service in their own name.
- Income at or below 250% of the federal poverty level.
Low-Income Support Program ($500 credit)
- Residential natural gas customer of Duke Energy Ohio with service in their own name.
- Individual must receive natural gas service from Duke Energy Ohio.
- Individual may have combined natural gas and electric service
- Income at or below 250% of the federal poverty level.
