Supportive Services

The Supportive Services program provides assistance to individuals experiencing a temporary hardship.  Receiving assistance is based on meeting program eligibility requirements, and the availability of funds.

WHAT WE OFFER

RENTAL ASSISTANCE
What you need:

  • Valid Driver’s License or State Identification (must be a resident of Hamilton County)
  • Social Security Card for all members in the household
  • Notice to Leave the Premises or Court Order Eviction with your name and address
  • Proof of Income for the last 90 days for all household members
  • (If employed, all paycheck stubs for the last 90 days is required)
  • Proof of Hardship – you must have documentation of why the rent is past due. 
  • (For example receipts of unforeseen occurrences)
  • Current Income – you must have sufficient income to pay future rent
  • Housing HAP Contract if applicable.

WATER BILL ASSISTANCE
What you need:

  • Valid Driver’s License or State Identification (must be a resident of Hamilton County)
  • Social Security Card for all members in the household
  • Proof of Income for the last 90 days for all household members
  • (If employed, all paycheck stubs for the last 90 days is required)
  • Your Current Water Bill with your name and address on the bill
  • Past Due Water Bill Notice or the Disconnection Notice
  • Proof of Hardship – you must have documentation of why your payment is overdue
  • (For example receipts of unforeseen occurrences)
  • Current Income – you must have sufficient income to pay future water service
  • Housing HAP Contract

BIRTH CERTIFICATE & POLICE REPORT ASSISTANCE
What you need:

  • Proof of Income for the last 90 days for all household members
  • (If employed, all paycheck stubs for the last 90 days is required)
  • Valid Driver’s License of State Identification (must be a resident of Hamilton County)
  • Social Security Card for all members in the household
  • You must reside in Hamilton County
  • If you have a Child(ren), you must have documentation from Job and Family Services stating that you are not currently receiving cash benefits
  • Housing HAP Contract, if applicable
