Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

En la Agencia de Acción Comunitaria, la salud y la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes y la comunidad son nuestra máxima prioridad, y queremos hacer nuestra parte para evitar la propagación del Coronavirus. Por precaución y de acuerdo con la orientación de los funcionarios de salud y estatales, hemos tomado las precauciones necesarias para proteger a aquellos a quienes servimos. Por favor consulte las actualizaciones y los recursos a continuación para obtener información sobre cómo esta pandemia nos afecta en general.

Head Start

Effective Monday, March 16th, all Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency Head Start and Early Head Start locations will close due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak. This includes our locations at the Life Learning Center in Bond Hill, the Theodore Berry Center in West End, Winton Campus, Millvale Early Learning Center, Camp Washington Center, and Discovering Minds Learning Center in Bond Hill. Centers will remain closed through Friday, April 3rd, reopening on Monday, April 6th. If there are any changes in the dates or duration of the closure, parents will be notified via the parent information hotline (513-569-1842), our social media (Facebook, Twitter), our website, and local news outlets.

Career Pathways & CCMEP

All events and classes are cancelled through April 3, 2020 until further notice, with the exception of the construction-training program currently in-session. This cancellation does however include the Tech Works Expo.

Career Pathways will not enroll/accept new applications into any of our programs until further notice.

Our dedicated CCMEP team is reaching out to all clients by phone, clients may also be contacted via email and case plans will be updated electronically, as face-to-face appointments will not be permitted at this time. There will be a designated client drop off location to submit documentation on the 2nd floor (see receptionist). Produce Pop Ups x CAA Mobile Food Pantry

Our Mobile Food Pantry will be held as scheduled, but will take place outdoors until further notice. Follow us on Facebook for changes and updates. Our upcoming dates of service can also be found here.

HEAP, Supportive Services, Tax Prep

Despite the presence of COVID-19 here in our community, we are continuing to provide supportive services to our clients. However, as a precaution, the CAA Supportive Services staff will no longer be conducting face-to-face meetings with clients. Facility Rentals

The CDC has recommended the suspension of large gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Your Community Action Agency is taking serious measures to ensure our clients and workforce stay safe! Effective immediately usage of our facility rentals will be temporarily closed to external visitors through April 3, 2020 at which time management will reevaluate facility operations. We appreciate your business, and look forward to serving you!

Internal Partners

In response to the growing COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County will close all of its facilities to the public beginning tonight, Friday, March 13, 2020 at 6 p.m.

Library leadership will reassess the closure on a weekly basis and use current information from health officials to determine the best date to reopen.

Additionally, while the Library is closed to the public at this time, we are making free meals available to youth ages 18 and under, thanks to the work of UMC Food Ministry. Visit our After School Meals page for the schedule and locations.

All events and classes are canceled through April 3, 2020. This includes the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration this Sunday, March 15.

All meeting rooms are now closed through April 3, 2020.

Customers have been asked to hold on to their checked out physical materials instead of returning them.

Checked out items will have their due dates extended.

Book donations are not being accepted at this time.
