Research shows that children who have a healthy relationship with a father figure in their life are more likely to do better in school, avoid criminal activity, exhibit positive social behaviors, and have high self-esteem. The Fatherhood Initiative is designed to provide men with the skills, resources, and confidence needed to become self-sufficient role models. Through its two programs – Involved Males & Fathers and Directions for Dads – CAA provides support for men as they work to build a stronger relationship with their child. Both programs provide opportunities for father and child to bond, such as museum outings, sporting events, and fishing trips.
