National Recognition for Blueprint and HBA

In April, the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati (HBA) received the Award of Excellence for "Best Community Service Project Conducted" in its partnership with Blueprint for Success by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
Blueprint's partnership with HBA paired students in the construction training program as apprentices to professional builders for both CiTiRAMA and HOMEARAMA in 2012. Blueprint students assisted builders in all aspects of the home construction process from the foundation to the closing. In addition to this on-the-job skills training, HBA also provided guest instructors to Blueprint classes.
Said HBA President John Ballantyne, "We are appreciative of all the builders who have partnered with students to make this program a national model. We owe a special thanks to Mike Hoffmaster of Maronda Homes for leading this effort."
